Grimm reapers in PNR

Traditionally death isn’t seen as a particularly sexy figure in fiction. The image of death is usually one of a skeletal creature robed in black armed with a Scythe and ghostly in it’s movements. Death is the calling of the Grimm Reaper. Death is what most humans fear most.

Some authors have taken the concept of death its bearer and turn it on it’s head. Grimm Reapers have now become the Hero and Heroines of their own stories.After all what’s not fascinating about those who collect souls, or control whether you live or die

Since I’ve been scouring the list of Paranormal Romance Novels, I’ve come across a few of these novels and figured you guys would like a short list of your own to explore.

  1. Darynda Jones series starts with First Grave on the Right also features a reaper. This is a terrific series. I also enjoyed Kate Serine’s Transplanted Tales series.

      • I just thought of another series with a reaper I would like to recommend. The Monster Haven series by R.L. Naquin starts with Monster in my Closet and has delightful characters and the hero is a Reaper who works as a paramedic. It is another humorous series and I highly recommend it. Book 4 Golem in my Glovebox released today.
