NYT Bestseller (and fabulous person) Alyssa Day just posted a sneak peek at a rocking new music video that is based on her Warriors of Poseidon novels. This is no book trailer folks. The video was produced by Radiator Music and features an original song, Every Time You Read My Mind, also based the novels. It’s a-freaking-mazing. Love the song. Love the video.

In the book world, we’ve been hearing a lot about the rise of the e-book and one idea that has been circulated is adding content to create enhanced e-books. Adding illustrations is a simple option, but not one I think would work for romance fiction. We want to use our imagination! But I think adding something like this music video is a great new idea and I hope it really catches on. It gives you something fresh—a song you can load on you iPod and listen to all day long—and the visuals are really teaserrific. They provide a sexy hint of the characters that doesn’t detract from the book in any way. It made me want to go back and read the book again. Alyssa is one smart cookie.
