I’ve already got a seat picked out on the patio!

We’re another month closer to the Coastal Magic reader convention! Man am I getting excited. Authors, bloggers, readers, the beach! What could be more fun?  If you’ve been following the blog, you know Chudney and I (Charlee) will both be attending and we are hoping you can join us.

Visit the Coastal Magic site for details and to register. There are still plenty of slots open for special breakfasts and super natural laser tag with your favorite authors, but they are filling up fast!

Here on the blog, we’ve been featuring some of the authors to help you get to know the authors that will be attending. This month’s author is….

Alex Hughes

Hughes_authorphoto_verysmall-199x300Alex has written since early childhood, and loves great stories in any form including scifi, fantasy, and mystery. Over the years, she has lived in many neighborhoods of the sprawling metro Atlanta area, including Decatur, the neighborhood on which her novel, Clean, is centered. Her work is dark, complex, action-filled and a little funny. Her Mindspace Investigations series has been called “A fun blend of Chinatown and Blade Runner” by James Knapp, and Publisher’s Weekly called her “a writer to watch.” When not writing you can find Alex in the kitchen cooking gourmet Italian food, watching hours of police procedural dramas, and humming to delightfully obscure music.

Later in the month we’ll have an interview with Alex and Misa is preparing more of an introduction to her Mindspace Investigations. Here is a quick few lines to get you intrigued about it:

In a dark future Atlanta, a disgraced telepath must stop a serial killer who murders with the mind. Can our hero stay on the wagon long enough to lead the police to the killer?

Temptation…

Responsibility…

Murder…

A telepath is a terrible thing to waste.

Sound fun?marked
