Time for a SciFi Potpourri!

It’s been a while since we had a SciFi Potpourri, so why not today?!

2001 – a Cockney Odyssey?

2001odessey

Our first bit of news comes from NBCUniversal.  If you’re a fan of Stanley Kubrick and Arthur C. Clarke’s 2001: A Space Odyssey, you’ll want to watch Up Late with Alex Baldwin on MSNBC Friday (Nov 1) at 10PM ET.

This week, Alec sits down with Keir Dullea (Dr. Dave Bowman) and Gary Lockwood (Dr. Frank Poole).  Dullea explains that, during filming, the voice of HAL was read with a cockney accent. Can you imagine if that had been the end voice?

Weird!!

Traveling Back in Time to a Whovian Wedding

Remember back in the summer when Dragonmaiden84 reported on the couple who were planning a Whovian wedding?  Well they did actually get married back in August. Yay! Why am I reporting this now? Well to go with the whole time travel theme, of course. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it!

  1. I’m looking forward to Almost Human. Especially when I found out Lili Taylor was in it. She’s phenomenal. I’m up in the air about Thor-didn’t get into the 1st one. Ender’s Game: undecided.
