Meet Jenny and 8 Crazy Qs

I am so excited to introduce our newest addition to the blog. Jenny is a SFR/PNR writer and reader. She’s going to be contributing posts and reviews.  I thought a great way for everyone to learn more about her would be to get her answers for 8 Crazy Qs–a bit of a growing tradition. 😉 Here’s Jenny…..

1Do you own an e-reader? Which one?

I am on my second Kindle, and this one will need to be replaced soon. My first was dropped, spilled on, submerged, and finally died due to excessive use. It took me forever to get an e-reader but once I did the availability of new books trumped the feel of paper and the comfort of my old friends.  I still reread favorite books in paper form, but have fully embraced the digital book.

2 Star Trek or Star Wars?

Both. And may I add Doctor Who please? I watched all the Star Trek series and read many of the books. The same is true of Star Wars. Though I’ll admit that the prequels and revised Star Wars movies pained me.  I’m not a fan of CGI, but the new Star Trek moves have been excellent!

3Do you have a Zombie Apocalypse Survival Plan?

Cricket Bat? Sorry, I couldn’t resist the Shawn of the Dead reference. I’m actually terrified of zombies. Vampires, werewolves, ghosts, etc. no worries but mindless contagious monsters freak me right out! So, run and hide would be my survival plan!  I live near a big city in the American West…. I would take my pets and husband and run go hide out in the middle of nowhere.

4Have you ever stayed up all night to finish reading a book?

Often. Though usually a full book, that I am really into, only takes me about 4 hours so ALL NIGHT might be an exaggeration.

5Do you prefer ice cream or candy? What’s your favorite flavor/type?

Ice Cream, on the rare occasion I eat sweets in any form I tend to go for chocolate ice cream, on a brownie, with fudge. Give me chocolate or give me death!

6When is the last time you wore a costume?

It’s been a while actually. I used to go to conventions and costume parties a lot when I was younger but lately I just haven’t found the time.  I should change that!

7If you could have a super/magical/extra sensory power, what would it be?

Telepathy. Because actually knowing what other people were thinking would an amazing advantage. Or course super strength, invulnerability, and such would be nice too.  But I wouldn’t want to be GREEDY!

8When was the last time you were in a library?

College. I used to tutor a lot so I would spend a lot of time there trying to explain such diverse things as 5-dimension calculus, human anatomy, and stock splits. There are times I wish we had a better library system locally, but I mostly content myself with purchasing books instead of borrowing them.

We do need more Doctor Who on this blog. I’m not a Whovian, but most of the girls are. We need to get on them about representing the Who.
