Paranormal Cover Love

I think it’s time for some cover love. After all covers are what catch our attention and draw us in to look at that all important back cover copy. On a crowded book shelf it can be easy to over look a good book. So Let’s look at a few of my favorites.

So this one is in the YA category. I couldn’t forget it once I saw it someone’s page :

Scorched by Mari Mancusi

Cry Wolf by Patricia Briggs. This cover says so much. It’s all in the details.

City of Eternal Night by Kristin Painter.

Do you have a favorite cover?

  1. Not sure I’m crazy about the COEN cover. The colors are fabulous (and such a change from KP’s past lovely monotone covers), but the girl looks a little bobble-headed. Just me? The Scorched cover is amazing.

  2. Do I have covers? Not only do I have the BEST covers, but they feature WoC, something seldom seen in sci-fi or fantasy. No whitewashing/erasure here, dears.

Three Parts Dead by Max Gladstone
Full Fathom Five by Max Gladstone (I am so fiending for this)
Daughter of the Sword by Steve Bein
    Ascension by Jacqueline Koyanagi
    Red Madrassa by Terah Edun
    Stormdancer by Jay Kristoff
    Open Heart by Emlyn Chand

  3. Hi Kymberlyn – some great pics. I’ve been a fan of the Ascension cover since we had a guest review on the book. Just looked through the others. The Red Madrassa by Terah Edun cover is gorgeous–the fully illustrated one. Looks like there is a photo based one which is fine but the illustrated one–just wow.
