Trina is our newest Smart Girl and she’ll be reviewing mostly Paranormal romance for us. Her first post will be out later today. For now you can check out her bio and her answers to my Crazy Eights questions.
Trina’s bio: Trina is a huge SciFi fan and grew up loving Star Trek, Star Wars, and Bewitched. When she’s not watching her favorite 3D movie on the big screen, she’s reviewing her favorite PNR/UF books, writing fan fiction, or snapping pictures of her favorite things. Trina likes to travel and always finds a great local ghost tour to get the bejeezus scared out of her. She also likes to spoil her cats, Sir Kenny and Beastie Boy. She’s spent most of her life in the Tampa Bay area where she currently spends many a night dreaming of an Acheron/Wrath sandwich. Atlantean gods and ass kicking vampires are yummy!
Now on to the questions…
Do you own an e-reader? Which one?
Nook and love it!
Star Trek or Star Wars?
You’re killing me with this one, I’d have to say Star Trek, Picard is so hot!
Do you have a Zombie Apocalypse Survival Plan?
Doesn’t everyone? I have the University of Florida Zombie Attack Disaster Preparedness memorized. (Seriously considers testing the bloggers here for ZBSD for even asking this question).
Have you ever stayed up all night to finish reading a book?
I’ve had book hangovers like you wouldn’t believe and too many times to count. And there’s no cure!
Do you prefer ice cream or candy? What’s your favorite flavor/type?
Ha! Both!! Snickers ice cream!!
When is the last time you wore a costume?
Oh geez I always want to dress up for halloween but I always chicken out. I think the last time was decades ago, my nephew was four, he was a vampire and I was his victim. It was pretty hilarious.
If you could have a super/magical/extra sensory power, what would it be?
Flying! I want to fly!! No, invisibility, yeah that would be wicked. No wait! Reading minds, definitely reading minds… Geez anything really, except turning into a platypus!
When was the last time you were in a library?
Last year, to look up info on magical creatures for fan fic that I write.
Here’s what Trina reviews for SGLSF&PNR:

Some of her current favorite authors are:
My current favs are Kim Harrison, J.R. Ward, Sherrilyn Kenyon, Dianna Love, and Hildie McQueen.
Here are the types of review requests she would like to see:
Anything PNR, though I also enjoy SF.
Love your answers Trina! And I would have to pick Star Trek, too. 🙂
Thanks Jessica 🙂 This blog is so much fun, love it, love it LOVE it!!
Fun intro!
I’m the newest member of Acheron’s fan club. Oh that man! I’m trying to devour the Dark-Hunter series but the library isn’t cooperating with me. My library is missing most of the first eight and I’m about to ready to buy the ones they don’t have.
Whoot Whoot! Acheron is hawt!! *Grins ear to ear* And just gets hotter the more you read about him!! Well who isn’t hot in the DH Series? Let’s see there’s Vane, Fury, Fang, Remi, Talon, Val, Nick, oh man I could go on and on! I don’t know if you have a B&N Store near you but alot of the DH Books are there, the hardcovers for 5-7 bucks!
I have the first few books of the Dark Hunters. I have never gotten around to reading them. Christne Feehan nearly killed me with her bloody truemates, and I heard how much alike the series are. I don’t know, are they really all that great? I might like to take a crack at them again.
The DH series is much much better than The Dark series in my opinion. I got rather bored with the Carpathians after the 3rd book and the women are too weak IMHO. I love a strong female character. And the DH combines vampires and greek mythology which is beyond cool to me 🙂
I don’t think the Dark Hunters (Kenyon) and the Carpathians (Feehan) are at all alike. Feehan writes glorious, angsty, insta-love; while Kenyon writes tragic pasts with colorful, crazy characters. I like both. If you want to try Feehan, go for her Ghost Walker series. More variety there – super soldiers and secret agents with psychic abilities. Not sure where to tell you to start with Kenyon. Lots of options depending on what grabs your interest.
Captain Picard is hot! I can agree with that.
Glad you joined us, Trina. you fit right in!
It was nice to read about you Trina…thank you for the wonderful review!
You’re welcome Cindy 🙂
