Do you own an e-reader? Which one?
Yes I succumbed to the madness and forced myself to get an e-reader. And I’m not exaggerating when I say force. I am still a hardcore supporter of the physical manifestation of books. I discovered my favorite author of all time, Anne McCaffrey, just by trailing my fingers against random spines at my high school library. i kept the need to get an e-reader at bay for as long as I could. Then I realized that many of the authors I squee over were releasing the next book in the series in e-format first ( why Jesse Petersen…why????). Plus the prices were so cheap (I work in the veterinary field and have too many animals. I am permanently financially strapped.). Or even worse, I couldn’t find a physical book in the library for a book club because the queue was so looong.
To cut a rambling short, I nabbed a kindle since it was within my price range.
Star Trek or Star Wars?
I’m gonna risk getting flogged online either but I feel neutral towards both. My dad was a Trekkie so I grew up with star trek in the background but I never took the time to get into it. I was too busy keeping up with the babysitters club. Of all the Trek series, I love Picard. I love that bald man so much.
And here comes the embarrassing confession: I cannot keep track of the star wars story theme. Some of it bores me. Some of it intrigues me. I’m fascinated by Padme. I’m constantly mixing up all the parts together. The fandom intimidates me.
I love space balls. absolutely adore space balls.
Do you have a Zombie Apocalypse Survival Plan?
My plan is….nothing. I will be victim number one. I will stand there like a fool with drool coming out of my mouth because I know I have the “deer in headlights” syndrome.
what is that shambling toward me? A drunk? Wow it smells horrible…eww it’s touching me………brains……
Have you ever stayed up all night to finish reading a book?
Yes. So often that my coworkers roll their eyes when they see this phase: morning Toni is groggy and confused about reality (e.g. pushes on doors that you have to pull, loses pen that she has strung through her hair) until soda intake commences and then every word out of her mouth is a reference to whatever she has read the night before.
Even though NO ONE will get it.The cats will listen to me though. Then poop.
Do you prefer ice cream or candy? What’s your favorite flavor/type?
I don’t really have a sweet tooth but I much prefer ice cream. I love vanilla bean or coconut ice cream….mmmm.
When is the last time you wore a costume?
A few weeks ago for Steampunk LA…I even wrote a post about it…you should check it out…
If you could have a super/magical/extra sensory power, what would it be?
I would love admantimum powers..or whatever wolverine has that super heals him. i would be the best vet tech ever!
Here hissing kitty…..
