In Julia Barrett’s Incorporeal Sara Wise has been haunted by ghosts since childhood, but Natan de Manua (aka Nathan) is no ordinary ghost. He might have been dead for 500 years but in Sara’s home he becomes more alive than ever. He is there to protect her from an unknown looming evil, but finds loving her might save his soul.
Nathan and Sara’s relationship is sexy and fun but there is also the fear that their relationship can’t last. Incorporeal conveys both moods with a brilliant balance that makes this an unforgettable story with an unpredictable ending that will leave readers more than satisfied. Add this one to your must-buy list!
What I loved about the heroine: Sara is woman who has suffered because of her strange ability to see ghosts, but she is not afraid to go after her dreams. It is no surprise that when she realizes Nathan is her dream man she’ll refuse to let him go.
What I loved about the hero: Nathan is a soul in need of redemption. He blames himself for the death of his family, but by the time we meet him he has learned not to let self pity stand in the way of his future. And did I mention he can cook, clean…and wait 500 years for the love of his life? I also think he may have learned a thing or two about pleasing a woman in that time. Sara sure seems to think so!
Other funs stuff: Sara is a writer and the part of the story that deals with her writing friends and a not so fun experience with an editor will have any frustrated writers out there hooting with laughter and sympathy.
