I’m thrilled to have Catherine Spangler as one of our featured authors this week. Her Shielder Series was one of the first SFR series that caught my imagination. It is so great to see this series, along with the Sentinel Series available again. Catherine is also the first author I ever sent a fan letter. It was after reading Shadow Fires, which featured a cold blooded (literally) hero. It was a big risk at the time. I’ve already praised this book many times on the blog, so let’s take a look at the book that launched the series.
Shielder
The Controllers have engineered a virus that is killing Shielders. In the hopes of finding a cure, the Shielders need a human host to get the deadly Orana virus past Controller checkpoints and to a medical lab on the planet Santerra.
