Fall is in the air and new and favorite TV shows are appearing on the small screen. Here are two return season premiers I’ve been looking forward to.
FRINGE
One of the recent great ‘sciencey’ sci-fi TV shows, Fringe, started out with investigations into weird happenings related to Fringe-Science experiments and has evolved into a clash between parallel dimensions. Last season’s cliffhanger left Olivia trapped in the ‘bad’ universe.
The romance factor: The love story in this show has been between Olivia and Peter. With the alternate Olivia masquerading as the ‘good’ Olivia, will Peter discover the truth or fall for ‘bad’ Olivia?
Fringe returns Thursday, Sept 23, 8PM Eastern on FOX. If you can’t watch it live, you can watch full episodes online day after they air.
STARGATE UNIVERSE
Probably, everyone already knows I’m a huge Stargate fan. I’m counting the days for the return of SGU. Last season’s cliffhanger left us in the middle of a battle for control of the ship and three of Destiny’s residents shot.
The romance factor: Super-geek Eli is lost in a remote part of the ship with an injured Cloe, the woman he has a crush on and who has been involved with the dashing Lt. Scott. Will this change things for these two? TJ, pregnant with Col. Young’s baby, is one of my favorite characters and she is also among the injured. If she survives, will this bring these two back together?
SGU returns Tuesday, Sept 28, 9PM Eastern on the SyFy channel.
