Maggie, a recent divorcee and lover of history sets out on an adventure to Bisbee and Tombstone, Arizona.  During a tour of a local mine she encounters the ghost of a coal miner who claims to be her husband from the past.  Her trip to this historic city tests her sanity and belief in true love.

MY REVIEW:

Yesterday’s Kiss was a very touching story. It’s contemporary romance and paranormal romance rolled into one with bits of time travel aspects.

Maggie’s life has been kinda boring and sad up until her trip to Arizona. She’s in her early 30’s, she’s not fat but she’s not thin and her ex husband was an asshat who ended up beating Maggie’s self-confidence into the ground and leaving her for someone younger and “thinner”.

When Maggie meets her “husband from a past life” things really pick up.  No one but Maggie can see him which leads to some comical scenes.  The attempts her ghost husband makes to try to jog her memory are very sweet.  They travel to the past to relive heart-rendering moments of their previous life together.

I love all things paranormal but…I’ve never seen a ghost so I think I would need some major convincing too if a hot dude appeared out of no where and claimed to be a ghost.  Just as Maggie did, I would fear I was loosing my marbles.

Yesterday’s Kiss brings up issues that most  people think about:  is there a white light when we die, if not what happens when we die, is there reincarnation?

The most interesting aspect to Yesterday’s Kiss for me is  how the ghost husband, Joseph, has tethered himself to Maggie.  Yesterday’s Kiss has quite a few heart wrenching scenes.  I deeply suggest a box of hankies to be kept nearby.  I wasn’t “thrilled” with the ending but I do understand it.
